The tooth profile of the rack is a straight line rather than an involute (plane for the tooth surface), which is equivalent to a cylindrical gear with an infinite radius of the indexing circle. It is divided into straight rack and helical rack, which are matched with straight cylindrical gear and helical cylindrical gear respectively.
Rack assembly instructions
The rack can be butt mounted to any length. Adjust the clearance between the two rack teeth during assembly. Locating pins are required to install the rack.
Step 1 position and tighten the rack
The second step is to use the reverse gear gauge to position the next rack
The third step is to check each interface one by one, and use a round bar to detect the parallelism of the rack
